This report generates information about **all duties**: flights, repositionings, office or standby duties, as well as days off assigned in the section Crew > Duties. This report generates information about **all duties**: flights, repositionings, office or standby duties, as well as days off assigned in the section Crew > Duties.

 +
+In the filter you can switch to the **Alternative cumulative figures calculations** - if this checkbox is ticked, **Cumulative duty** and **Block times** are calculated back from the **end of the day** with no duty, rather than from the end of a previous day.
 +
+For example, if the crew is off duty on 10-08-2019, according to the alternative option the period included in the calculation would fall between the end of day on 10-08-2019 and the beginning of 04-08-2019. The standard calculation is more restrictive and calculates the period between 09-08-2019 and 03-08-2019. This checkbox only affects days with no duties assigned. Days, where the duty is assigned are still calculated from the end of the duty time.
 +
+It is possible to view block hours per sector. Mark **Show block times** checkbox in the filter and the column will appear in the report. The data will be displayed in the following format: hh:mm - hh:mm.
 +
+Another options which can be turned on in the filter are **Highlight reduced rest** and **Highlight FDP extension** - Leon will display such cases in orange.

Values such as 'Rest before duty - Min' or 'FDP - Max' are explained when you hover the mouse over the value (see below). Values such as 'Rest before duty - Min' or 'FDP - Max' are explained when you hover the mouse over the value (see below).

It can be 35 or 10 hours - it is up to you. If you want this option to be enabled, please contact Leon Support team via [[http://support.leonsoftware.com/|Customer Portal]] and we will set it up for you.

+==== Exporting selected crew to PDF ====
 +
+It is possible to generate FTL Sheet for selected crew members.
+[{{ :leon:reports:FTL Sheet to PDF.png?200|Crew selection window for FTL Sheet PDF}}]
 +
 +The process is as follow:
 +
+  - Choose the timeframe for which you would like to generate the report
 +  - Click on <html>
 +<span style="color:blue;font-size:100%;">Generate PDF for multiple crew members</span>
+</html> link located in the filter
+  - In the 'Generate PDF' window insert email address in the 'Recipients' window and select the crewmembers for which you would like to generate the report. It is possible to insert the multiple emails separated by the comma
 +  - Press 'SEND' button
+  - You will see a window with the confirmation that the report is being generated and will be sent to selected email addresses. Depending on the number of chosen crewmembers it might take several minutes. Press 'OK' to confirm
+  - PDF with the FTL Sheet Reports for the selected crew is available in the INBOX

 +==== Commander's Discretion ====
 +
+If maximum allowed FDP is exceeded, in some situations there is a possibility of using Commanders Discretion. To indicate it in Leon you simply mark 'Discretion' checkbox in JL.
 +
 +[{{ :leon:reports:CD no violation.png?200|CD below 1 hour default Discretion}}]
 +[{{ :leon:reports:CD violation.png?200|CD over 1 hour default Discretion}}]
+We have implemented following changes to Commanders Discretion:
 +
+  - 'Discretion' timeframe has been set to 1 hour by default
+  - Using 'Discretion' checkbox automatically extends Max FDP by 1h. This is explained in the tooltip when hovering the mouse over teh Max FDP value in the FTL reports
+  - CD below 1 hour will not be highlighted as a violation in the FTL reports but it will show in the **FTL violations** report (not highlighted).
+  - CD below 1 hour will not be highlighted in the SCHEDULE view and FTL Calculations section in CREW tab
+  - CD over 1 hour will be highlighted red in the FTL reports and CD column will indicate max allowed Discretion (1 hour) rather than the actual Discretion
 +
+<box>**It is possible to apply the previous version of 'Commanders Discretion' functionality where it was considered as a violation. For more information please contact Leon Support via [[http://support.leonsoftware.com/|Customer Portal]].**</box>

+==== Weekly Rest Alternative Options ====
 +
 +-----
 +
+Most FTL regulations contain a requirement for scheduling an extended recovery recurrent rest period once every few days, usually called a **weekly rest**. For example:
 +
+//"(…) minimum 36 continuous hours, including two consecutive recovery nights, in a seven-day period."//
 +
 +or, more precisely:
 +
+//(…) weekly rest period, being a 36-hour period including two local nights, such that there shall never be more than 168 hours between the end of one weekly rest period and the start of the next.//
 +
+It is reflected in Leon’s FTL Settings by weekly_rest_min_length (in this case, 36 hours) and weekly_rest_max_separation (in this case, 168 hours). Other settings can be used to specify whether the weekly rest should include local nights, or whether it can be reduced, or performed outside the crew member’s home base.
 +
+However, this is rarely that simple. Some regulations allow for an alternative rest instead of the regular one, for example:
 +
+//(…) rest periods will be extended at least//:
 +
+  * //to the **36 hours** uninterrupted rest period including **2 local nights** in the course of **consecutive days**//, or
 +
+  * //to the **60 hours** uninterrupted rest period including **3 local nights** in the course of **10 consecutive days**//
 +
+which often leads to some confusion, especially in the case of alternating 36/60 “weekly” rest patterns.
 +
+So far this has been implemented in Leon in a way that FTL would require the basic (36-hour) rest to happen within the first 7 days following the previous weekly rest. If such rest is not scheduled in that period, FTL starts to require the alternative (longer) extended rest period. It can be illustrated with the following example:
 +
 +{{:leon:reports:weekly rest 1.png?|}}
 +
+<box>**This default behaviour can be summarised as follows: the more duty days are scheduled, the longer the following extended rest has to be.**</box>
 +
 +
 +-------
 +
+Recently, we encountered a **different phrasing of the weekly rest regulations**, suggesting that the opposite interpretation may actually be more appropriate:
 +
+//Before beginning an FDP or standby, an FCM must have had at least 1 of the following://
 +
+  * //in any consecutive 7-day period before the projected end of the assigned FDP or standby: 1 off-duty period of at least 36 consecutive hours, including 2 local nights//; **or**
+  * //in any consecutive 10-day period before the projected end of the assigned FDP or assigned standby: 1 off-duty period of at least 60 consecutive hours, including 3 local nights//.

-{{:leon:reports:FTL explanation 2.jpg|}}+From the previous example, one can infer that the FDPs on 14-DEC and 15-DEC are actually not permitted, since there is neither a 36-hour rest in the previous 7 days (08-DEC–14-DEC) nor a 72-hours in the previous 10 days (05-DEC–14-DEC). The correct illustration would be as follows:

 +{{:leon:reports:weekly rest2.png?|}}

+<box>**The new behaviour can be summarised as follows: the longer the weekly rest, the more duty days can be scheduled to follow it.**</box>

+This new “**forward**” mode of calculating weekly rest can be enabled by setting **//weekly_rest_alternative_forward//**. This will only affect the regulations with an additional “**alternative**” definition of a weekly rest. Please contact customer support for more information.
