This is an old revision of the document!
Managing the fleet in Leon is easy and handy. This section allows you to sort all essential information about aircraft in many ways. You can either display all types of aircraft or just one, you can hide tails that are not being used or view only ACMI aircraft - that is all up to you. Below screenshot represents Fleet view.
You can also see Airframe information. TAH and TAC values are displayed only if “Calculate TAH,TAC using TLB” checkbox is not ticked in Operator Settings. The values displayed here depend on the right-hand filter settings.
When you hover the mouse over the icon you will see tooltip with CAM information.
If the aircraft is highlighted blue it means that it is excluded from billing. This is subject to Terms and conditions, and aggreement with Leon Software Ltd.
To add a new aircraft click on a link 'Add new aircraft' and fill in 4 mandatory details:
The other fields can be filled out optionally, of which those helpful ones can be:
This section allows you to enable and set up MVT emails. You can define a separate MVT emails template for each tail.
Storage requirements reminder is a feature that sends email notifications shortly before engine parts need storage procedures.
To start using the feature, you need to enable it first.
Go to Settings > General Settings and at the bottom of the screen you will see Storage Requirements Reminder Service section.
Ticking the “Enable checkbox” will activate the facility as well as activate “Reminder” boxes in CAM tab of an edited aircraft.
In “Remainder period (days from SR event)” you define how many days before Storage Requirement you want to receive a notification email.
In “Remainder e-mail recipients” you input emails of people who should receive reminders. It is possible to input number of emails separated by commas.
The final step is to go to CAM tab of edited aircraft and input number of days in “Reminder” box in the part you require storage for.
We input value 3 (for 3 days) in “Remainder period (days from SR event)” in Settings > General Settings. We input value 5 (for 5 days) for one of parts in “Reminder” in CAM section of Fleet for 1 particular aircraft.
If this aircraft has a flight scheduled on day 1, the Storage requirement will fall on day 6 (SR). In this case Storage requirement reminder email will be sent on day 3 as it is 3 days before SR.
Reminder email will not be sent in 2 cases:
This section allows you to assign crew positions to an aircraft type. When positions are selected on a specific aircraft they will be assigned to all aircraft of the same type automatically.
Each aircraft requires specific documents to be operated. Most of them are mandatory (Certificate of Registration, Certificate of Airworthiness, Air Operator Certificate), some are supplementary (Certificate of Maintenance Review, Certificate of Fitness of Flight).
Leon allows you to add and manage all the documents required and also add scans of paper documents.
Before you add any aircraft document in Leon, you need to customise the list of all fleet documents you want to use.
Go to Settings > Fleet Documents Setup and under the icon Documents definitions you will be able to add document name and document type.
By clicking on the icon you can add another document. The window also allows you to change positions of documents, depending on their importance, by clicking green upward/downward arrows. Once the making of the list is finished, save changes.
Next step is adding documents to a particular aircraft, which can be done when clicking on aircraft registration. When a pop-up window Edit aircraft Documents Set shows up tick particular documents in column Use and Req (see screenshot on the right).
To make it easier, when it comes to adding the same band of documents to all aircraft, you can copy documents from already set up aircraft to the one that needs to have documents added. Go to unassigned aircraft, click Copy documents, choose the aircraft from which the import should be done and update.
It is a simple feature which allows you to define one or more persons who should be notified when aircraft document is going to be expired.
In a field Intervals you can add number of days when emails should arrive (as many as necessary - after comma).
This section gives an option to receive emails at selected hours (twice a day) about all flight changes made each day. The report includes new flights, changed flights or deleted flights.
First step is defining at what time, twice a day, Leon should send emails.
Only full and/or half hours can be input, i.e.: 12:00, 16:30.
You can insert 1 or more email addresses where this report should be sent. You also need to specify how many days should this report include from the current day.
If all is set up, Leon sends an Excel file to the recipient with all new, changed or deleted flights. In the file itself there are 4 different colours indications:
Once aircraft are added to Leon you need to add appropriate functions (crew positions) to it. It is very important part of the system because it will allow you to add ratings, assign crew to flights and create duty on aircraft.
In the section Aircraft Crew Positions select an aircraft type in the filter and mark needed checkboxes.
You can see 5 columns in this section:
You can assign function to each part of you business (Flying crew, Maintenance, Ground) by going to different tabs in the top of the screen.
Positioning tab will allow you to assign functions that do not calculate FDP but duty only (PSN) or neither FDP nor Duty (PAD).
