OPS

Return to Ramp: engine and APU hours and cycles (CAMO section)

What changed: The Return to Ramp window has a new CAMO section where you can enter Engine hours, Engine cycles, APU hours and APU cycles. Entered values are added to the TAH/TAC/APU counters in Leon and sent as actuals to CAMO integrations. Cycles from RTR count towards the engines only, not the airframe.

Who is affected: Everyone who records Return to Ramp events will see the new fields. The fields are optional: if you leave them empty, the counters are calculated exactly as before. Values are added only when you enter them. No impact on current operations.

More information

Email notifications for Return to Ramp events

What changed: MVT Messages has a new scenario, "Return to ramp created or changed". It is sent when an RTR entry is added or edited, and RTR data can be used in message templates.

Who is affected: No one until you enable it. This is a new, optional feature. To start using it, create an MVT Messages rule for the "Return to ramp created or changed" scenario and select the recipients.

More information

Deleting Return to Ramp entries

What changed: You can now delete a Return to Ramp entry, for example when it was added by mistake.

Who is affected: Users who can already create and edit Return to Ramp entries. Deleting uses the same privilege as editing, so there is no separate privilege to grant. Deleting is not available when the Journey Log is closed.

Default values of Journey Log checkboxes

What changed: You can now override the default value of selected checkbox items in the Journey Log, for example to leave them empty instead of the default "YES". This applies to the web version and the Crew App.

Who is affected: No one until you change it. The current default values stay the same until you set your own. A changed default applies only to Journey Logs that are filled in from then on; Journey Logs that are already saved are not changed.

More information

"Now" button on the OPS Timeline follows the base time zone

What changed: The "Now" button now sets the date according to the time zone of the selected base instead of UTC. Previously, the selected day and the displayed range could get out of sync.

Who is affected: All users who work on the OPS Timeline with a selected base in a time zone other than UTC. The date shown after clicking "Now" will now match the local date of the base. No action is needed.

New trip type: Cargo charter

What changed: A new trip type, Cargo charter, is available.

Who is affected: No one until you enable it. This is a new, optional trip type and it is disabled by default. To start using it, enable Cargo charter in your trip type settings.

WKC fuel integration: account selection by aircraft and ICAO flight type

What changed: Leon now selects the WKC account based on the combination of aircraft and ICAO flight type. In each account's configuration you select the aircraft and ICAO flight types it applies to, and the configurations of different accounts cannot overlap. Existing accounts were migrated with all ICAO flight types active.

Who is affected: Operators using the World Kinect Corporation (WKC) fuel integration. If you have one WKC account, it works exactly as before. If you have more than one WKC account, the account chosen for a flight now depends on the aircraft and ICAO flight type settings of each account.

Recommended action: If you use more than one WKC account, review each account's aircraft and ICAO flight type selection after the release to make sure every flight uses the correct account.

Crew

Duty categories

What changed: In Duties Setup, you can assign each duty definition to a named category. When you create a duty in the Crew Calendar or Crew Timeline, the menu then shows categories that expand into the duties of each group, instead of one long alphabetical list.

Who is affected: No one until you start using it. If you do not assign duties to categories, the menu looks the same as before. To start using it, create categories and assign duty definitions to them in Duties Setup.

Crew Training

New offshore currency

What changed: A new currency for offshore helicopter operations checks the required number of day and night offshore sectors within a given period. It also takes into account a Recency Check flight with an LTC/TRI, which extends the currency without the need to fly the required sectors again.

Who is affected: No one until you start using it. This is a new, optional currency. To start using it, set up the offshore currency for your crew and mark offshore flights as offshore in the Journey Log, because the currency is calculated from those flights.

Crew App

Homebase in the crew member profile

What changed: The crew member profile in the Crew App now shows the crew member's current homebases.

Who is affected: All Crew App users will see this additional information in their profile. This change should not affect your current operations.

Files and photos on positioning checklists

What changed: You can now attach files and photos to checklist items on positionings (opened from My Schedule), in the same way as on flights. The same interface and privileges apply.

Who is affected: Crew who complete checklists on positionings in the Crew App. Attaching files is optional. This change should not affect your current operations.

Sales

DocuSign: SMS and WhatsApp notifications

What changed: The DocuSign integration can send an additional notification about a document waiting to be signed by SMS or WhatsApp (secondary delivery notification). When sending, the phone number is suggested from the contact, and you can change it or clear it.

Who is affected: No one until you enable it. Both options are disabled by default, and current DocuSign sending works as before. To start using it, select SMS and/or WhatsApp on the DocuSign integration tile.

Recommended action: Before you enable these options, make sure that SMS or WhatsApp delivery is also enabled in your DocuSign account. Otherwise the document cannot be sent.

Sharing landing permits with clients

What changed: When you share booked trip details with a client (the Ops & Crew tab and the trip details page shared via link), you can now also share landing permit information, in the same way as overflight permits.

Who is affected: No one until you select it. The new option is off by default, including for trips you have already shared, so clients will not see landing permits until you choose to share them.

Sched

Fleet Planning: possible ferry flights

What changed: The Fleet Planning generator now shows where the schedule has gaps that will need ferry flights. A grey bar between flights shows the airport codes of the positioning route, and its tooltip shows the estimated flight time based on the aircraft performance model and winds.

Who is affected: Users of the Fleet Planning generator will see the new grey bars. Ferry flights are not created automatically and your schedule is not changed. This change should not affect your current operations.

What changed: Audit logs have a new event type, Flight crew assignments, which shows changes to crew assignments on flights. Clicking an entry opens the trip history, and you can filter events by the date and time of the change.

Who is affected: Users who have access to Audit logs will see the new event type. This change should not affect your current operations.

Phonebook

Attachments in passenger Characteristics

What changed: You can now add attachments in the Characteristics tab of a passenger profile. Crew can download them in the Crew App (in online mode) in the passenger details, and passengers with Characteristics filled in are marked with an icon.

Who is affected: No one until you add attachments. Crew will see the new icon next to passengers whose Characteristics are filled in. This change should not affect your current operations.

More information

Contact access based on user bases

What changed: Access to contacts, including editing, now takes the user's base into account. A user whose role is limited to their own base can edit only contacts that are assigned to that base.

Who is affected: Only users whose role has the "Limit users to their own base" option enabled in role privileges. Such users can no longer edit contacts that are not assigned to their base. Users whose role does not have this option enabled are not affected.

Recommended action: If some of your roles have "Limit users to their own base" enabled, check that the contacts these users need to edit are assigned to the right bases.

Airport Directory

Handling agent opening hours

What changed: In the handling agent / FBO profile, you can now enter opening hours (from and to) and a note for non-standard cases. This information is available in the Documents Manager, so you can show it on documents such as the Crew Trip Sheet.

Who is affected: No one until you fill in the new fields and add them to your document templates. This change should not affect your current operations.
