Scope - Crew Positionings

Overview

The Crew Positionings scope covers positioning records from the perspective of individual crew members. A positioning is a journey where a crew member travels as a passenger — by commercial airline, train, or other means — to reach a departure station or return home after completing a duty. Unlike operated flights, positionings are logistical movements that get crew members to or from where they are needed.

This scope is specifically oriented around the crew data view: each record represents one crew member on one positioning movement, including details about the route, scheduled times, booking information, and the crew member's role and home base. Operators use this scope to track crew travel logistics, monitor rebook requirements, analyse positioning costs, and ensure crew members are accounted for across their full duty cycle.

Crew positioning summary by period — list all crew positioning movements within a date range, grouped by crew member or route

Status and booking
