Overview
The FTL Sector scope covers individual sectors (flight legs) from the crew Flight Time Limitation (FTL) perspective. Each record represents a single sector flown by one crew member — one leg between a departure and an arrival airport — together with the duty it belongs to. The scope captures crew identification, actual and planned sector times, the surrounding duty times, block and flight times, route, aircraft, and the operating AOC.
Where the FTL Duty scope works at the level of a whole duty period, the FTL Sector scope drills down to each individual leg within those duties. It is the right scope when you need per-sector detail rather than per-duty aggregates.
This scope is used for crew activity and flight-time analysis. Operators use it to break duties down into their constituent legs, compare planned vs. actual sector block times, and analyse crew working patterns in the crew member's own base time.
What reports can you build with this scope?
Examples of typical reports operators build with this scope:
-
Crew block/flight hours report — block and flight time per sector and per crew member
-
Sector-by-sector activity report — every leg a crew member operated in a period
-
Planned vs. actual block time report — comparison of planned and actual sector duration
-
Route activity report — which routes each crew member flew, with which aircraft
-
Crew base-time report — sector and duty times expressed in the crew member's base time for fatigue analysis
Available columns
Columns are the data fields that can appear in your report. When building a report, select the columns most relevant to your analysis.
The following time-zone tags are used:
-
[UTC]— value expressed in UTC -
[CREW BT]— value expressed in the crew member's base time
A sector is a single flight leg; a duty is the continuous working period that contains one or more sectors.
