Each airport in the directory can carry a category, and Leon checks the crew's airport qualifications against it — for example requiring specific briefing or qualification for category B and C airports. Warnings appear in crew assignment when a crew member lacks the required qualification for the airport category.
Can airport categories be imported in bulk?
Yes, airport categories can be mass-updated rather than edited airport by airport — prepare the list of airports with the target categories and Leon Support can import it into your airport directory. This is the recommended path when adopting a categorization scheme for the whole network.
Can airport category information be included in crew notifications?
Yes, the airport category can be included in crew email notifications about assigned flights, so crew see immediately whether a briefing or qualification requirement applies. Adjust the notification content in the crew notification settings.
