Crew Training, Qualifications & Endorsements

Can Leon track line training and check flights (LIFUS, line checks, OPC/LPC)?

Yes, training and checking events can be recorded as duty types and reflected in crew qualification records, with expiry dates tracked in the certificates section. Expiring checks generate reminders according to your certificate mailing rules.

Can Leon restrict who may act as a trainer or examiner on a flight?

Crew positions on a flight are validated against ratings and qualifications recorded in crew profiles, so a trainer/examiner function can be controlled by maintaining the corresponding qualification entries. Leon does not interpret regulatory instructor-privilege rules itself — configure the qualification requirements to mirror your training organisation's rules.

Can a crew member be marked as under training and shown differently in planning?

Yes, trainees can be identified in planning — for example through dedicated crew labels, positions (such as supernumerary or trainee slots), and duty types — so planners see training status at a glance. Configure the convention that matches your training workflow.

Can training records be synchronized with an external training or compliance system?

Training and qualification data can be exchanged with external systems via the Leon API, but discrepancies between systems are not reconciled automatically — one system should be the master source. Define the master and update direction before enabling any synchronization.

Do airport qualifications (category B/C briefings) expire in Leon?

Yes, airport qualifications can carry validity periods, and Leon warns when a crew member's qualification for a categorized airport has lapsed. Renewals are recorded like other certificates, with reminders before expiry.
